Мета: розвивати навички читання, монологічного та діалогічного мовлення, вміння логічно будувати висловлювання англійською мовою, розширювати світогляд учнів, формувати власну думку на задану тему, залучати до багатства і колориту народної мудрості.
Обладнання: текст казки В.О. Сухомлинського «Соловей і Жук» англійською мовою; портрет В.О. Сухомлинського, малюнки, ноутбук.
Хід уроку 1)1. Організаційний момент.

3. T: Good morning, children! I am glad to see you. Take your seats. How are you today? Let“s begin our lesson from «Hello song».

The topic of our lesson is «In The World of Fairy-Tales». We are going to read a fairy-tale «The Nightingale and the Beetle by V.O. Sukhomlynsky. At the lesson we are going to read, speak and do different tasks.

1) Look through the text and name the main characters of the fairy-tale.
2) Pay attention to the key-words and translate them into Ukrainian:
horn, fly, nightingale, beetle, drone, dignitily, wise, leave.

1. The Nightingale sang very beautifully.
2. The little boy was listening to his song.
3. The Beetle was flying and droning.
4. The Nightingale liked his droning very much.
5. The little girl was very wise.
6. People need both nightingale and beetle and all other living creatures too.
